Abstract

When adopting aspect technology, regardless of whether it is to develop a new software system or to migrate a legacy one, the developers will eventually be confronted with evolutionary problems. This paper highlights some of these problems in aspect-oriented programming. Although many of the problems have already been identified by researchers and some promising techniques are currently being investigated, this research domain is still relatively immature and warrants further investigation by the community.
