Sergio Castro is a research and teaching assistant at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL). His research group is the REsearch Laboratory on software Evolution And Software Development technology (RELEASeD), under the direction of professor Kim Mens. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering specialized in Information Systems from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), Ecuador, and an International Master in Computer Science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. His professional experience has mainly been related to an active participation in the analysis, design and implementation of software systems for leading ecuadorian telecom companies. His current research interests are related to software evolution and logic meta-programming techniques in general, and co-evolution of design rules and source code in particular. Other interests involve dynamic languages, program transformation techniques and web frameworks.
