History

With a steadily growing group of researchers, in 2007 Prof. Kim Mens created his research group RELEASeD, which is an acronym for REsearch Laboratory on software Evolution And Software Development technology. RELEASeD is currently part of the Pôle d’Ingénierie Informatique of the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Electronics and Applied Mathematics at Université catholique de Louvain.

After a peak of 8 simultaneous researchers in 2009, in 2011 the research group still counted 1 professor, 2 PhD students and 2 post-doctoral researchers. The following picture illustrates the evolution of the number of researchers in the RELEASeD lab over the years:

As illustrated by the picture below, the number of research projects has steadily increased over the years until 2008, with a decline since 2009. We are currently seeking actively for new funding opportunities and research projects so that new researchers can be hired to join the existing team.
